The terms, in plain English
Version 2026-09-11. These are the terms you agree to when you set up your payment and your website goes live.
What your £30 a month includes
Your website, built with you through our wizard, live on the internet at your free web address (yourname.twp-co.uk). Hosting, the security padlock (HTTPS), your contact form, visitor statistics, ongoing maintenance and support are all part of the same £30. If you already own a domain name, connecting it costs nothing extra.
There is no setup fee and nothing to pay until you go live.
No contract
There is no minimum term and no lock-in. You can cancel at any time and you stop paying at the end of the month you have already paid for.
You can download a working copy of your website whenever you like, whether you are staying or leaving. Your website is yours to take with you.
Paying
The price is £30 a month, collected monthly by card or Direct Debit, whichever you choose. If you joined at our launch price, your first year is £10 a month (see Launch pricing below). Your bank statement will show THE WEB PAGE.
If a payment fails we will let you know and give you a short period to put it right. If it stays unpaid, your website is suspended until payment is sorted, and you can still download your website during that time. Once payment is back on track, your website comes straight back.
Launch pricing (temporary)
While our launch price is open, new customers pay £10 a month for their first 12 months instead of £30. From the 13th month the price moves to the standard £30 a month, collected the same way. The launch price is limited to the first 50 businesses to join; the front page and the payment step say clearly whether it applies to you before you pay.
The launch price does not change anything else in these terms: there is still no setup fee, no contract and no minimum term, and you can cancel at any time. Domain names bought through us are charged at their normal yearly prices.
Domain names bought through us
A standard .co.uk domain is £12.95 a year and a standard .com is £18.95 a year, renewed yearly on the same payment method as your subscription. A premium name costs more, and its yearly price is shown to you before you add it to your basket.
If you cancel, the domain's paid-up year runs to its end and the domain is yours to take with you.
Optional extras
Any optional extra has its price shown clearly before you add it. Nothing is ever added to your bill without you choosing it.
Your website's content
The words and pictures on your website are yours, and the wizard shows you everything before it goes public. It is your responsibility to check that what your website says about your business is accurate, and that you have the right to use any photos and text you provide.
We run an automatic safety check before anything goes live, and we may take content down if it is unlawful or misleading, but the responsibility for your content stays with you.
Looking after your details
We use your details to run your website, your billing and your support, and for nothing else. Enquiries sent through your website's contact form go to you and are held securely on your behalf so none are lost. Every website we publish includes an automatically generated privacy policy page for your visitors.
How we look after your details and your visitors' enquiries is set out in our privacy policy at app.thewebpage.co.uk/privacy.
Your account
You sign in with your email address, by a link we email you or a password you set. Keep those details to yourself: anything done in your dashboard counts as done by you. Tell us straight away at support@thewebpage.co.uk if you think someone else has got in.
The service is for businesses and the people who run them. You must be 18 or over to sign up.
What your website may and may not be used for
Your website is for your business. It must not carry anything unlawful, misleading, abusive or obscene, anything that infringes someone else's rights, anything used to send spam or spread malware, or anything that puts our platform or other customers at risk.
If it does, we can take the content or the website down, with a message to you saying why. Where we can, we tell you first and give you the chance to put it right.
Who owns what
Your words, your photos, your logo and your domain name are yours. You give us permission to store them and show them on your website for as long as you are a customer, and to keep a copy for a short time afterwards so you can download it.
The platform, the templates, the editor and the AI Assistant are ours. The wording the AI Assistant writes for you becomes part of your website and goes with it when you download it.
Keeping your website up
We aim to keep your website online all the time and we watch it around the clock, but no service can promise it will never go down. Maintenance is done at quiet hours where we can and any longer planned work is announced in your dashboard first. Where an outage is our fault we put it right as fast as we can; we do not pay compensation for the time lost.
Support is by email at support@thewebpage.co.uk, answered within one working day. Small changes to your website are part of the service; anything bigger we quote for first.
Ending it
You can cancel at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us. Your website stays up until the end of the month you have paid for, then comes off the internet. We keep a copy for 30 days so you can still download it, and delete it after that.
We can end the service if you break these terms or if payment stays unpaid after the grace period, and we tell you by email when we do. If we ever close the service altogether we give you at least 60 days' notice and time to download your website.
Refunds
A month you have started is not refunded when you cancel, and a domain name's paid year is not refunded because the registry has already charged for it. If we have charged you in error we refund it in full.
Changes to the price or these terms
If we ever change the monthly price or these terms we email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before then with nothing more to pay. The version date at the top of this page tells you which terms you are on.
What we are responsible for
We provide the platform with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for lost business, lost profits or anything indirect that comes from your website being unavailable, from a mistake in content you approved, or from a third party's failure. Where we are responsible, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the problem.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you that cannot be excluded, and nothing limits our liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
Who we rely on
Payments are taken by Stripe, so your card or bank details are held by them and never by us. Your website is served through Cloudflare, and email is sent through Brevo. Each of them has its own terms and privacy policy.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute. If any part of these terms turns out not to be enforceable, the rest still applies.
